Romantasy’s website layout would turn me off from ever ordering from them. But their photos of cross-dressers in garish, oddly-fitted corsets, posed “seductively,” turns me off from corsetry, at large.
I just checked out their website, and I don’t even know if anon and I are looking at the same thing.
Yes, the sites’s very hard to navigate and looks like it came out of the late 90s, and a lot of the pictures aren’t up to date. Yes, that’s a valid turn off. But I think you mean, “this site features visible trans women and that makes me uncomfortable” rather than “these photos are distasteful”. I mean there’s no nudity. They’re posing like any model would for a corsetry shoot, except some of the models are pre-transition trans women. Rather than being ‘distasteful’, I think it’s brilliant that a site is so publicly advertising its partnership with trans women. As for being garish or badly-fitting, again I have no clue if we’re seeing the same things because the photos they show look very well-fitting, and frankly the style is a client’s choice.
TL;DR: if the fact that trans women use corsets and are a beautiful and amazing part of the community puts you off engaging with us, then I’m not really going to shed any tears over that.
